A brief overview of my background:

I am Dr. Romed Meirer, a board-certified specialist in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery with many years of experience in Austria and internationally. My focus is on achieving natural, harmonious results while providing personalized care and attention to each patient.

I was born in 1970 in Innsbruck, Austria and completed my medical studies at the Medical University of Innsbruckand the Universidad Autónoma Barcelona. My specialist training took place at the University Clinic for Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery in Innsbruck, including a 1.5-year clinical rotation at the Klinikum Innenstadt of Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich.

I further enhanced my expertise through a 6-month Microsurgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, one of the top 5 hospitals in the United States. By the age of 33, I became a board-certified specialist in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery, focusing initially on nasal surgery at the Innsbruck Clinic. I later served as Senior Consultant in Plastic Surgery under Dr. Dirk Richter at the former Dreifaltigkeitskrankenhaus Wesseling/Köln, a renowned center for facial and eyelid surgery and body contouring.

Since 2006, I have been running my private practice in Wörgl – GZW, combining modern surgical techniques with a personalized, patient-centered approach. I am also the author of numerous scientific publications, particularly on methods to enhance skin vascularization, and I regularly participate in national and international advanced training courses to stay at the forefront of plastic surgery.
