Clearly visible labia are often perceived as annoying and can physically affect the person, for example soreness caused by tight trousers or recurring infections. Although this topic is not usually talked about, it is on many women's mind. Modern aesthetic plastic surgery makes it possible to correct this "intimate" problem.

The labia are shortened, making them less visible, while sensitivity is retained.

  • complete shaving of the genital area 24 hours before labiaplasty to minimise the risk of infection

  • discontinuation of anticoagulant medication, e.g., Aspirin, Thomapyrin or ThromboAss, at least one week before and one week after the operation

  • limitation of alcohol and nicotine

  • daily shower without shower gel in the genital area

  • no sexual intercourse or sport for 4 - 6 weeks

  • in rare cases postoperative haemorrhage, bruising, infections, wound dehiscence

  • a possible sensitivity to touch usually subsides after the first few weeks following labiaplasty
