Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is an endogenous substance that can be found almost everywhere in the body as a building material, cushioning element and water reservoir. Intervertebral discs, joint cartilage, skin and connective tissue are all made up of hyaluronic acid.

With increasing age, the body's own production of hyaluronic acid decreases and wrinkles form on the skin due to reduced water storage.

Hyaluronic acid products are particularly suitable for injecting wrinkles into the face and for facial contouring. The natural substances have been used there for many years for aesthetic treatments.

A medical consultation takes place before the treatment. Then hyaluronic acid is injected into the affected areas using a sterile syringe and fine needles. The affected areas are massaged to distribute the product. The result is immediately visible.

Temporary bruising and swelling may occur, but will disappear within a few days. Daily activities can be resumed immediately after treatment.

Contraindications: pregnancy and breastfeeding!

  • wrinkle treatment (face and body)

Collagen injections with hyaluronic acid - carried out by an experienced doctor - are a very safe, gentle and generally side-effect-free treatment. Nevertheless, the following side effects may occur:

  • short-term swelling due to impaired blood circulation in the treated skin area.
This is due to tissue compression caused by the additional mass of hyaluronic acid that is injected

  • haematomas
Depending on the personal characteristics of the skin, slight haematomas may occur, but they generally disappear fast.

  • hyaluronic acid as a palpable mass
At first, the hyaluronic acid can occasionally still be felt under the skin. After 4 weeks at the latest, this mass has bonded with the skin and is barely palpable.

  • skin discolouration
If too much hyaluronic acid is injected, the skin may appear a little white or bluish for a short time.

  • allergic reactions
Even though hyaluron is tolerated by almost 100% of patients without any problems, allergic reactions can occur. In this case too, our experienced team will of course know what to do.
